My Story

My creative journey started long before I ever knew what storytelling was — from swinging PVC pipes in the backyard and painstakingly rotoscoping lightsabers frame-by-frame, or cutting together videos of my friends “jumping higher” by reversing the footage. In high school, I ran the weekly news program that aired across the school, my first taste of real storytelling. That passion led me to film school at The Art Institute of Vancouver, where I began sharpening the skills that still shape me today.

In 2013, I launched Kimber Images, stepping into the world of real estate photography. What began as photographing homes quickly grew into a deep appreciation for interiors and architecture. I discovered a passion for capturing the quiet stories within still places, where even walls and windows can convey meaning.

By 2022, I felt the pull back toward video and founded Ki.StoryStudios. Through video, I rediscovered the power of storytelling in motion — candid or professional, raw or polished. There’s nothing better than watching someone see their story reflected back at them, often realizing it for the first time.

Now, under David Kimber, I’m bringing everything together. This shift allows me to focus less on managing multiple brands and more on what truly matters: the people I work with and the stories we tell together. Clients choose to work with me not just for the photos or videos, but because of who I am and the way I approach the process — with trust, honesty, and open communication. When we decide to work together, we become a team.

Outside of the work itself, I’ve always been drawn to details and stories, whether it’s a favorite shade of British Racing Green woven through my site, a passion for basketball and the pursuit of dunking, or annual Harry Potter Halloween builds at home. These little touches shape how I see the world and, ultimately, how I create.
